Bedroom was dark and in need of redecoration.

    Fabulous

The very helpful and concientious staff. The very good breakfasts with outstanding servive from everyone who served us

We were just a little disappointed with the faclities of our room (no 256) compared with past visits - eg we had troublewith the telephone whivh we needed on a regular basis to keep in touch with a very frail elderlyfriend - the mains connection continually became detached frim the hand set - however it was changed as soon as we reported it - bit I do hope this doesnt mean someone else now has a duff set! We were short of drawer space compared wuth previous visits and the tv was of a very poor qulity(not that we watched it much!)

    Fabulous

The hotel was ideal for my purpose, comuting between Glasgow and Falkirk. The staff were friendly, room was clean and the food was excellent value for money. (Mostly homemade)

We were attending a wedding reception at nearby glenskirlie castle. Castlecary was very good value for money, handy location and friendly staff. Would definitely have no hesitatio9n in recommending it.

    Exceptional

Very friendly, clean hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. We flew up for a family wedding at Glenskirlie Castle which was only 4 mins away by car so perfect location for us. Would stay again if we are in the area, close for Stirling (15 mins away) for sightseeing. Nice food, good prices and nice rooms.

    Fabulous

It was a handy place to stay between Bath & the Isle of Skye and dogs were allowed

Nowhere to walk the dog! But I only stayed 1 night

    Very good

Parking very convenient. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. Comfortable room.Price.

Restaurant closed as they had a wedding going on. As very few local oprtions available we had a bar meal in the pub which was good value for money. So turned out all right.Thought it was closer to Stirling than the blurb suggests

    Very good

Pleasant Hotel & Staff, with good food and a choice of either restaurant or 'bar snack' dining. A good pub atmosphere in the bar area. Would recommend to friends and colleagues. Would stay at this hotel again.

I liked nothing about this hotel except the view of it in my wing mirror as I left.

I couldn't wait to leave. I was stuck in some outhouse where there was no wifi as advertised. The duvet cover looked like it was from a charity shop. The tv was ancient and had none of the major channels available apart from channel 4. The staff were surly. The food was overcooked and the whole place rather run down and dated. I would never stay here again.

    Fabulous

Comfortable and clean with good size room. Staff friendly and helpful. Could park directly outside our room on ground level. Good value for money.

Would have liked breakfast freshly cooked.

The food in the restaurant was excellent, very traditional and good value for money. Breakfast also excellent, couldn't fault the food in any way.

The rooms floor was dirty - it was a wooden floor and clearly hadn't been mopped. The bathroom floor was also dirty with hairs (yuck!) on it also. We only stayed the night and were going to a wedding, so didn't have the time to complain. When we checked out the next day, the receptionist didn't even ask us if everything was ok during our stay, so I said that the room floor was dirty and she said she'd let housekeeping know! Not even an apology! This was the only thing that let this hotel down - the dityu floor and the staff. The room was lovely apart from that and the food great, a pity I won't be going back!

Not very much. The reception and breakfast was reasonable.

The bedrooms are tired, dark and needed a good upgrade. The beds were most uncomfortable and I did not think that the room was clean as it shoudl be .
